See also: About Brian Corcoran - Broker Brian was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. After attending Mannes College of music in Manhattan, where he was a classical piano major, he joined his family's trucking and warehousing firm. Working with his brother John and father Ray, the company enjoyed explosive growth for 12 years before selling to a much larger distribution partner in 1998. After 2 years as Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations, Brian decided to re-locate from busy New York City in 1999 to sleepy Cape Haze, Florida and assist in the opening of his family's second restaurant in the area. After 5 years of running two busy restaurants and building a successful catering business in Boca Grande and Cape Haze, Brian obtained his Florida Sales Associate Real Estate License in 2004. After working for 4 years on Boca Grande and the surrounding areas, Brian obtained his Florida Real Estate Broker license and opened The BRC Group, LLC Boca Grande, FL on November 1st, 2008. With an ability to change course with the markets, Brian has proven to be able to not only survive in these challenging economic times, but to thrive. Brian's focus on internet advertising and personal service is what sets him apart from the competition. Brian is a member of the Placida Rotary Club and lives in Englewood with his wife Sigrid and two sons, Matthew (10) and Andrew (7). About John Corcoran - Broker Associate I was born and raised in New Jersey and vacationed in Boca Grande at an early age visiting relatives. I always knew that one day I would work and live in this little piece of “Paradise”. I worked very hard to get here. I graduated in 1981 from Don Bosco Prep. High School in Ramsey, New Jersey and went on to receive my BBA Degree from Pace University in New York. I grew up working in the family trucking and warehousing business with my brother Brian and father Ray in the North East until we sold it in 1998. This is when the Corcoran family decided to make our dreams come true and move to Florida. I moved to the Cape Haze Peninsula in 1999 looking for a better life and I have never looked back with any regrets. I enjoy the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and boating in the tropical blue waters. Another passion of mine is horse back riding. I own a quarter horse paint named “Thor” and love to trail ride within minutes from Boca Grande. I became a Realtor in September of 2002 and have focused my efforts with my customer’s on buying and selling in the Cape Haze Peninsula and the barrier islands, Boca Grande and Equestrian properties in the area. In 2004 I was the Top Producer with another real estate firm in Cape Haze, Florida and over the years have continued to be a Top Producer. I recently received my Broker Associate license in 2008. While working together with my brother Brian Corcoran in real estate we have developed a great reputation with our buyer’s and seller’s over the years and finally decided to go out on our own. Let me help you to find or sell your “Property in Paradise”. About Dawn Havens - Sales Associate Dawn enjoyed her childhood years in Wyckoff, Bergen County, New Jersey. She then attended the University of Rhode Island where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business. After graduation she worked for six years at Regency Holdings in Morristown, N.J. where she handled all aspects of property management for a private firm. In 1991 she married and moved to Hunterdon County New Jersey where she lived for 14 years.In 1994 Dawn delivered twins and in 1997 had her third child. This kept her busy until 2001 when she obtained her CMCA Community Management license and was responsible for managing a portfolio of Associations for Access Property Management in Flemington, N.J. In 2005 Dawn and her husband Peter decided to move to Englewood FL, being lured during a vacation by the beautiful weather and water. Dawn decided to pursue a different path in real estate and became a realtor instead of a manager. Her family has invested in real estate for years and this seemed like a natural progression. She worked on Boca Grande and then Englewood returning to Boca Grande in 2008. Happy to be back on the island she is excited about being part of a team with the same goals, the best customer service possible.
